Events / Musica Viva: Material

Material is Bath Spa University’s experimental music group. Recent performances include programmes of text scores by Christian Wolff, pieces for people walking, and a portrait concert of music by John Lely and John White. 

Material make music using many instrumental resources including record players, newspapers, sticks, voices, iPods, desks, stones, underground maps, toys, strings, dictaphones, bottles, bells, harmonicas, random junk and a piano.

Musica Viva is a series of free lunchtime concerts featuring the staff, students and friends of Bath Spa University's Department of Music. Everyone is welcome to attend.
